Katarina was born in Kiev and started her career as a model at the Kiev agency Liniya 12 at the age of 14.
She grew up with artists, directors, musicians and other creative bohemians.
Her special talent for transforming characters encouraged her to attend one of the best theater schools in the world, the Moscow Artists Theater. It was here that she discovered her penchant for character roles.
This mission led her to Slava Polunin in the famous creative laboratory "The Yellow Mill" near Paris.
The famous dreamer and inventor inspired Katarina to poetry and boundless fantasy worlds and gave her the most important credo: "Create the impossible, because what is possible, others are already doing".
The longing for the lost world of childlike spontaneity, the sincerity of dreams and fantasies and poetry is currently the focus of Katarina Teise work.
Since February 24, 2022, her whole family has been on the run from the Russian war of aggression. From that day on, Katarina makes performances and anti-war protests in Berlin and Moscow, staging her resistance in action art.
